I thought this would be cool to post, whenever a MINI was spied.

Here's one:
7/18/03, RED MINI, on Rt 1, near Princeton MINI, with 17" S-lite rims, BIG exhaust, custom front will possible lowered front spoiler? She's an animal lover as she had some pet cages in her MINI.

Who is it?

OK Julie,

Now, here's my first spotting this week:

7/17: Pepper White-MC, around 5:15PM, travelling down Lincoln Drive in NW Philadelphia!!! Wizzed right by my bright Yeallow MCS, and didn't even wave!!! Obviously, caught up in the scitement of barrelling down that great road!!!

We spy like this and report the siting on the Hawaii Topic area for our MINIs
We try to leave out the details for most sitings to conceal the person's identity
and maintain some privacy

Hey hune! Cool, makes sense. I checked out your Hawaii posts on spied mini's. I didn't think about potential privacy problems

Around 7pm on Fri 7/18, spotted a DS/DS or B heading west on the PA TP towards rte 611. I was driving my stepsister's dog of a car as we were heading to UPS to pick up some stuff. Who are you? PA tags, the black or dark grey tags.

Last week, maybe on Thursday,I spotted, oops I mean spied a Red/White Cooper southbound on Route 1 heading for the expressway. I've seen this car a couple of times, usually around rush hour.

I've also spied the Hugo Boss Mini drifting around town lately. And I finally saw the State Farm Mini that is driven by a State Farm rep in the suburbs. It's a Red/White Cooper with the State Farm logos on the doors.

We Spied a WHOLE bunch this past weekend..

Friday, 7/18 returning from lunch with my wife (probably around 1:30) ... Green Cooper on 202 Southbound, we were both sitting at the light at Matlack street.

Sunday 7/20 on our way out for the evening (around 4:30) ... Grey Cooper S passed on going Westbound on Business Rte 30, somewhere in Thorndale.

Sunday 7/20 exiting the Genuardi's parking lot on boot road (around 5:10) we spied our first other Electric Blue S, he was on his way into the shooping center.

I know there were more, but my brain is fried...

>>Minis must finally be reaching some sort of saturation point around here. I mean we've been watching for them this past year or two just cause we loved them, but since we picked ours up last month they're coming out of the woodwork. We used to go weeks without seeing one, now we see one every day.

You are correct in that more and more MINIs are out and about. When I first ordered my car in June 2002 it took two months for me to see one on the road and that was in Virginia. Now I see at least one every day on my way home from work, usually on Rt. 422 or 202. I am usually in my Nissan pickup. I have seen other MINIs only a couple of times while driving mine.

Hey newbie-wed by the way, What an amazing wedding present. You rock, except you are making the rest of us look really bad.

Have you driven Rt. 282 yet? Great twisties and my favorite test track is the school bus circle at West Bradford Elementary. Try it sometime when nobody is around.

More and more of em around... can you have too much of a good thing? hmmm.

Rte 282 eh? Haven't driven it in the Mini yet, kinda avoiding deadman's curve... my buddy here at work lost over $100,000 worth of cars on that curve in a 2 week period. First he was on his way home in his wife's LX470 when someone crossed the line in an uninsured Jeep and totalled it. Then 2 weeks later I was driving down the road and noticed an accident, thinking to myself, MAN that looks a lot like my buddies new 7-Series ... it was ... a cheerleader from Downingtown High crossed the yellow and plowed into him. You shoulda seen her work her Dad/Mom on the cell phone .. all crying. Her mom arrived to console her... but was walking around my buddies car, then got to the big BMW grille and went WHITE as a GHOST

As for the wedding present ... sorry man, but it was worth it, TRUST ME, it was worth it

I see a MINI pretty often around here (Dunedin/Clearwater area, FL) every week or so. Most recent was a black S north of downtown Dunedin off of Bayshore Blvd.
I've just printed up some little cards to inform people about our monthly British car meet in Dunedin, so next time I see a MINI, I'll tag it.

OK,

so, I went out this eveing to drive from my house to a friend's house (all of a total of 2 miles!), and I spied TWO in those two miles.

Both around 6:15PM on 7/23. First, on Highland Ave in Chestnut Hill, PA (silver MCS) followed me for almost the entire way.

Then, immediately after the silver MCS turned off, a Dark Blue (MC or MCS0 pulled out in front of me on McCallum Drive in Mt. Airy, PA.

Both inside the city of Philadelphia limits!!!

There is a guy named ChefRichie here in Austin, I've known he has a Chili Red/Black MCS with a custom black strip on the bonnet.

Today I was driving along, just minding my own business, and I saw him!
Going East on William Cannon Dr about 5:10pm...

I almost wrecked the Honda!

I've been tagging the ones I see too, Vince. Hopefully we will get some more people next month.
