I'm still confused after searching the forums...

Is your production date the start date or the completion date of the car

 

Your production date is the day ending the week your MINI is to be built.

 

The order was placed from the dealer on July 7th. Today I got the production number. The production date is July 25th.

So what you are telling me is that they will start the building process anytime during the week of the 25th?

 

As I understand it, the July 25th is the Friday of the week your car will be built. I believe they update their data base each Friday and only use Friday's dates for everything.

 

typically, your MINI will be Status 155 (production complete) by the time your "production date" rolls around. I think they schedule it so the car is basically finished by that date.

So it will be completed by the 25th.
