Blue tooth connectibility to iphone

I have a two week old '08 MCS with BT and w/o Nav System. I connected my iphone, (I thought) successfully. Both the MINI and the iphone show that they were paired successfully. However....I see the connection cycles through notices "Activate or pair phone" and then to "searching for paired phones"...and then goes back to recognizing the iphone.

If I happen to be on the phone when this occurs, the line sounds like it goes dead (silence) but if I don't hang up, it connects itself again where it was after several (long) seconds.

If I am not at the time on the phone, I can watch it going through the above cycle on the read out on the radio. Very frustrating. has anyone had this problem, or know how to begin trouble shooting it?

Strange... because the iPhone is supposed to be 100% supported with MINI Bluetooth: www.wireless4mini.com

Sorry I can't help on the troubleshooting, though.

I have an 07 (with Nav) and have had zero problems with my iPhone so this is likely something that you'll be able to get worked out. What software revision do you have on your phone? I'm running 1.1.3

Using the same, 1.1.3. I reformatted the phone, and that may have fixed it. Apple says they are aware of the problem and are working on a fix (and they have been fabulous!)...but it appears others haven't had the issue. Thanks for the reply.

It's on their list, but they've only tested it with version 1.0.2. Any other version may not work at all.

Also you might want to try disabling the WiFi, I've read about some people having problems with BT when WiFi was enabled.
