R50/53 Stolen wheel arch piece!
Stolen wheel arch piece!
Yesterday, after leaving a party, my friend and I noticed that the arch piece closest to the side marker was completely gone. This picture doesn't show it, but it's the piece that touches the top of side skirts in the front.

Anyone have the part number? Ease of installation?

51131505867, you may need new clips, are your clips still in tact?
installation is literally a snap.
you're in socal, right? it's likely that it came off in the rain if you hit a big puddle. mine was hanging by 2 clips yesterday from running through an unavoidable fat puddle

Yup, in SoCal, and I did drive through a big puddle yesterday, so that must have been it. I believe the clips are still on.
They come with clips from MINI. MSRP is $14.50, we sell em for $8.80. Not worth ordering from us in TX. Most dealers should stock them.
What do you mean not worth ordering from you guys in TX? I'm on Pelican Parts, and it's $14.50 with free shipping.
I will take a picture tonight to confirm which piece of trim it is. I'm thinking it's 51131505864, instead of xxxxx67.

Edit: Scratch that. They just got some in stock. Anyone know the installation process?

#2 Haven't had that problem *knock on wood* but shouldn't it come with instructions of some sort?

Sorry missed this before.
What I was trying to say is it probably not worth few $ savings for it to take a week to get there if you needed one right away. It's an inexpensive part that most dealers should have in stock.
Should it: Yes (it would be very nice, after all)
Does it: No (they assume a MINI dealer will do the install and the dealers have access to install databases, so no instructions included)
Everything OEM I've gotten and installed myself I had to look online for write-ups.
Yep... Install is a snap on that piece. Some of 'em take some digging through panels to get to the back side and unscrew a plastic bolt, but I think this one is held on by snap clips alone. Like was said earlier, just clean out the old clips (the new arch will come with 'em pre-installed) and press the new arch into place. You can use a fair amount of force, if needed, with the palm of your hand, but it should clip in securely with a nice firm press over the clip mounting points.
Before you install it, I'd recommend cleaning the area well... that's it, really.
