Space saver might also be short for the "space saver spare tire" since you've got a Cooper.

It's just a fancy way of saying that you've got a spare tire

Look up under the rear of your car to the left of the exhaust....might be a tiny "space saver" tire up there.

The AUX fan thing.. Guessing its to cool if the temp trips the heat sensor i guess.. Kinda how race cars have the aux fan to keep it cool?

I know I have heard the fan before but I didn't think it was an added option..

Yeah, the 'space saver' is the skinny little tire up under the rear end. My '02 came with one. It was included if the car came with the 15" non-runflat wheels.

Mine came with my 02 cooper that had 16s+runflats Seemed a bit redundant

Coopers with both 15" and 16" wheels came standard with a spare tire.

Only the very early models didn't come with the spare. Even though it was standard, they probably list it as an option

My build date was 02/02 and it has a spare tire. So I don't think build date matters.
