Suspension Install - Time and Cost

I am wondering how long it would take a professional shop to install 1) springs or 2) coilovers. I am debating which way to go and am curious to see what the labor differences will be.

Also, if you have had either done, how much did you pay?

TIA.

I can't imagine a shop would charge significantly more for one or the other, since it involves the same exact process. Springs MIGHT take marginally more time since you're breaking down the old struts, but then again many coilover units re-use the stock top hats, so...

I'm getting coilovers installed, corner-weighted, lowered 32mm, and a four wheel alignment for roughly US$400-430

Springs will cost a bit to install but much less to purchase. Is the car daily driven, or is it a track car?

Daily driven car. I know I don't *need* coilovers, but the height adjustability would be nice. If not, I will probably go with the M7 springs. Also, I could get H&R coilovers for around $700.

Corner-weighting and alignment will add onto the price of course. If you're corner-weighting your coilovers, which I doubt many people do on their street cars.

if you don't corner balance a car with coilovers, the system won't work as well as it can

On corner balance subj, I notice with my tools and parts for copier repair in the boot (50-75lbs) I get less rotation than when I take the junk out. So with that said im going to corner balance for when the stuffs out and I have half a tank of gas. Half a tank so im closer to the middle of the weight diff as I use up gas.
