I was reading a different thread about warranty issues, etc. and someone had said that the only pulley's MINI will accept without canning your warranty are JCW and Dinan.

Does JCW make a pulley? Or were they just talking about the complete upgraded JCW Supercharger?

 

JCW/MINI makes the complete supercharger with 11.8% (11.7%???) reduction pulley. The JCW pulley is just like the stock pulley in that it is heat pressed on to the supercharger shaft. Most aftermarket pulleys are of a hub design that bolt on to the SC shaft.

 

From what I've heard over at Long Beach is that the Mini side of the dealership has severed their ties with Dinan due to difficulty with getting parts and warranty stuff taken care of. The BMW side is still a Dinan dealer though.

I was going to go the Dinan route until I went down there to ask questions and found out about the separation.

I'm not sure you can get just a JCW pulley from MINI, you may need to try and get an undamaged one from a JCW owner that removed it to go with a higher percentage pulley.

If you do get a pulley you will enjoy it.

 

as i know 13.7% (13.8% ?) JCW pulley come with the supercharge only

 

Jesus christ people, K-Huevo debunked this **** completely awhile ago.

JCW = 11% reduction.

Nothing else. He measured it.

The JCW supercharger is exactly the same as the 05-06 SC, just with a 11% pulley. You can not order this pulley a la carte.

(02-04 non-JCW superchargers were uncoated on the inside, making them a wee bit less efficient. Still same SC as the JCW though.)

Don't get your panties in a bunch verveabsolute, misinformation dies hard. Just have the link on hand and post it whenever you see the 13.x numbers.
