Tuxedo!

So I've been thinking about this, and wondering if anyone else has any input. The idea is to go white... maybe first I'd like to see what the scoop would look like painted white, and then I'd also consider doing up all the chrome parts too... even down to the handles and gas cap. Any comments?

If anyone's an ace with Photoshop, I'd be your best friend if I could get that pic with the ideas I had done to it, to get an idea...

how much white are we talking here? Like, painting the fenders white and everything? I think tasteful accents like the chrome bits would look very cool, however overdoing it by painting the fenders would, in my eyes, just look ricey. Good luck though, minis are all about modding, and this would be a nice unique upgrade!

Oh no, I'd keep the fenders black, and I'd say everything that is black right now, would stay black, barring the scoop. I think painting the scoop, plus the door handles, chrome part of the grille, gas cap, and chrome outlining the head lights and tail lights, would look super sexy. The tuxedo look!

Maybe I'll try my own hand at PS...

I would hold off on the scoop until last. Do the other smaller details first -- you may decide at that point that the grill, headlights and stripes are enough. I personally think that the scoop would be too much at that point.

Edit - and if you remove all other chrome, I would black out the beltline so it doesn't stand out.

It would look either a) generic or b) like a cop car. Consider a bar code?
Neither is bad, necessarily, but is that the look you're going for?

The beltline? I'm guessing that's the sideskirt that runs along the door sills? I think the person who owned the car before me had the fenders and beltline painted. I think?

The beltline is the thin chrome piece around the bottom of your windows. Many have made the easy mod of blacking it out -- I think if all other chrome is gone from your car that has to go as well. . . but I wouldn't make it white; just black it out.

How about the center of the bonnet (between the stripes) white and leave the scoop black....like a bow-tie? Just thinking out loud.
