Rear View Mirrors

Does anyone have a picture of the rear view mirror with a checkered cap, not the side mirrors, the rear view mirror. I searched but all I could find is the side mirror caps. If anyone has added it after delivery how much was installation. The cap itself is $55 so installation can't be that much, or could it

I have it fitted to my red/black R56 Cooper, sorry but I don't have a picture.

I really like it , a cool, subtle mod.

Do not pay to get it fitted, it is soooooooooo easy to do yourself.

It just slips over the existing mirror.

1. Fit it on and off a couple of times so you know how it sits and the angle to offer it up to the mirror at.
2. Remove the film from the tape strip which is pre-fitted to the mirror cover.
3. Slip on again, and press to stick the tape once in position.

Where did you acquire the mirror cap? Thank you

Here's my MINI with the Union Jack mirror cover. It's easy to install. Just practice putting it on a few times, then just peel and stick. Don't believe that it won't fit with the Homelink buttons. All you need to do is trim around the buttons and peel and stick.

It ain't checkered, but you get the idea!

Morristown MINI has accessories for below list:

www.morristownmini.com

I purchased both the exterior and interior mirror covers for my wife's MCSa from them.

Its the easiest mod you could possibly due aside from changing the antenna. Actually its insulting that they charge $55 for a piece of paper thin plastic that fits over your existing rear view mirror. Either way, it looks nice

Thank you all, I think it will make a great 1st mod. Being in college now it's about all I can afford . It will go nicely with my checkered board dash!

I have a 08 MCS astro black w/white roof on order and already have ordered the checkered roof graphic. i'm thinking that i'll want to at least do the rearview mirror in checkered, too, if possible.

my question is, with the conv. pkg, that includes auto-dimming, universal garage opener, will this still work? I look on Morristown and the one they have says it doesn't work with univ. garage opener. Is there a different one for those mirrors that I'm not finding on there?

thanks!

Love the Astro Black white top combo that was my first choice, but then the things I could get with the $500 it costs to have the metallic paint won that battle. Unfortunatly I don't know about the auto-dimming rear view mirror. It would be a bumber if it didn't work, but I am sure eventually there will be another alternative. Aftermarket additions are wonderful and keep you truely in tune with your car.

No, the rear view mirror cap does not fit over the mirrors that have the universal garage door opener. Also, the door handles do not fit on cars that have comfort access.

We were going to get both, with the Union Jack, but they weren't compatible with those options. Instead we just got the full roof graphic and side mirror caps.

This is an "old" picture of Bergey, before a lot of other aesthetic mods, but tthe best one I have of the RVM checkered cap.

Easiest mod other than the stubby antenna that you could possibly come up with.

All it takes is about a half a minute with some sharp scissors to cut a notch for the buttons, and it'll fit and look great. Scroll up to my earlier post and look at the pic
