As usual, I'm going through color and options deliberations. I ordered my MC a little over a week ago at Mini of Concord. I got a production # the day I plunked down my deposit. According to the Owner's Lounge on miniusa.com my MC is "On Order" and scheduled to be built on 8/8, which according to my dealer, means I should get my car by October.

My question is when is the last possible chance when I can change my order? Is it when it changes to a different status? I would assume (hope) that its still within the window of opportunity considering that the car is ~1 month from production. According to my dealer once it has been entered into the system its too late and the only way to make changes now is to cancel that order and make a new one. That unfortunately will push me into a September build date, which means a November or December delivery date.

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Hey, what's a month right... if it's something you really want to change, and your dealer says it will push you into a different production date to do it, it would be better to be MINIless for a month than to live without something you wanted or with something you didn't want.

 

As long as you ordered Yellow you should be ok!! :smile:

 

Ask your dealer what status your MINI is in. You can make changes as long as it's still in 111 status. Once it goes to 112... changes dont always take. I think you still might have 2 weeks... but check with them.
