Off Topic

The entire site is a competition for post count or at least in creditability! but the person who owns the site and idiots he has managing it for him (not you Dave, you’ve always been fair to me), doesn't believe OFF TOPIC is a REAL FORUM of MINI PEOPLE. They only think Off Topic people are low life’s. Because management has put us at the VERY bottom of the list, doesn’t mean WE the majority who use this board should not have a say how we are treated.

Yes it is a privately owned board and you Mark can have any as*hole you wish to be your representative for administration, or vendor rep but it doesn’t change the fact “Off Topic” is used by more people daily on your board than any other forum. Look at the numbers dude and you will see. You and your staff are shunning the majority of people who put food in to your mouth daily.

I personally am glad to see the games in there own forum. Most of the games are set up for fun and post count spamming and not for any true dialogue. Off Topic is really for people to gather together and have a life when we can not be together, not a “Three Letter Word”!

Off Topic may not be for every MINI persons taste that comes to this board, but it is the absolute social gathering place of many MINI people when we can not truly be face to face because we live so far apart.

If the management whishes us to be the bottom dwellers of the board, I’m wondering
why we the OFF TOPIC people are the most logged in and users of the board on a minute by minute basis?

Yes, you can use real tires on the MINI, you don’t have to use runflats!

Yes, the lug bolds should be torque to 88 lbs!

Yes the oil is 5-30 and you do not have to use the BMW brand!

Is a 15 or 17 inch pulley all right for my MINI?

And the list goes on and on Mark. How many times should I have to answer the same questions to someone? Let the new people ask and other new people will answer. Leave OT alone, please Mark.

You will find they migrate here to OT on there own and find a comfortable spot after they’ve asked the few questions they have.

As usual thanks for the feedback Pat. As you may have not noticed the creation of OT:G was from Clover's feedback. The removal of post count relative to the moves of threads to the OT:G forum was accidental and the post counts have been restored (as of about 10:30PM Mountain last night).

BTW - I was the one who initially created the OT forums and I am well aware of the use and interest of them.

Again thanks for the helpful feedback.

Mark

Mark, thanks for the fast reply, but I do think OT Games is in it's right spot, an any post from count can be deleted as far as I care.

Once again, Pat, you've got it all wrong. Please remove your foot from your mouth. Nobody is being shunned, OT is here to stay - there was never any intent to have it removed, by anyone. The only discussion around OT (and a few other forums) had to do with post count. Nothing more.

If you don't care about the post count, then there's absolutely nothing you have to complain or worry about with regards to OT.

You're always quick to blame me. Yes, me... it doesn't take much to read between the lines in what you said, does it? Your conspiracy theories are ridiculous.
