Dealer question

Hello. I've been working with a Chicago area dealership and have been considering a 2008 MCS, but I heard about the special financing for in stock 2007s, so I asked my MA if she had my color in stock. She said they had one. My hubby and I went to the dealership and there was only one dark silver 2007 in stock and it was dirty, inside and out, and obviously driven. I went inside the dealership and asked the MA about it. She checked and told us that the manager had been driving the car and it had just over 500 miles on it. We asked if they would do a discount. The MA asked the manager (he was a few feet away from where we were standing in an office, but he didn't bother to come out and talk to us), and he said he would discount 50 cents per mile driven. We declined. Does that sound reasonable? I don't want to work with a dealership that has a problem with customer service and I'm just not sure about them yet. What do you think?

"Manager driven" could also be "loaner car driven" as far as you know. Hold out for one you want, and not one you might regret.

Agree. Not worth taking one you're not comfortable with for $250.
