Comparing Hamann Anniversary I to the OZ Superturismo

Everyone says that the OZ Superturismo GT is a newer version of the Hamann Anniversary which is made by OZ and that people should just get the OZ, but the Superturismo doesn't have the lip like the Hamann so how can one compare the two as being the same when they are two different styles in term of one having the lip and the other doesn't. How come OZ doesn't have a superturismo with a lip? Thats the styles I like. Some type of deep dish look.

Because they are different style wheels?

OZ's are generally sporty one piece wheels....so they opt to have no lip.

The Hamanns are a style multi-piece wheel....so they offer a lip as a personal styling choice.

Anyone comparing the two wheels and say they are the same is a bit clueless. Yah....they both are multi-spoke wheels....but still a very different style.

It's apples and oranges.

Thats what I was thinking. From an old post, one guy was looking for the Hamann Anniversary and others were saying, "why go with the Hamann when the superturismo is the same and cheaper, and oh by the way, OZ makes Hamann"

And I personally like the Hamann very much but was looking for some clarity myself.

Yah....they're both good wheels for sure....just very different styles. Some poeple like the multi-piece lip (myself included)...and a lot of people like the flat face motorsport look.

It's still a multi-piece style with the bolts and polished deep lip.

That'd be a much more appropriate comparison. I always thought the same thing...especially since they're two of the bigger german Euro tuners.

They're slightly different around the bolts but closer than the OZ's

Really depends on what offset you go with (and what offsets they come in).

If they're the same offset....it's probably close to the same on both wheels....neither of them have convex faces to accentuate a deeper lip.

The lower the offset is.....the more lip you will have....but also the further OUT the wheel will be from the car.

Bigger lips are harder to pull off on our car. The suggested offsets for our car (in the 40's) don't offer much room for lip.

I opted for a deep dish wheel by going with a very low offset....but the wheel does have a wide stance which some people don't like.

The one I saw on the Hamann on Ebay said 43 offset...so thats not much

And the breyton on Tire rack is a 40

The Breyton Magic Sport Mini looks even more attractive. 40 offset and from Breyton's website, the lip looks a whole lot deeper.
