Recommended Saler of Classics

I'm not sure if this is the correct venue for recommendations. But I want to take this time, as I promised the folks I purchased my Mini Mayfair from, that I would.

These folks, Richard and Carol, can be found on E-Bay as seller CAROLB555.
I purchased my Classic from them in September 07 and was very pleased with the description and quality of the car described.

They were extremely helpful and curteous and willing to work with me at every avenue. Just the type of seller everyone on E-Bay would want to deal with.

I had a minor problem with the car upon delivery and when I spoke with them about it, they were willing to wait on me to figure out what it was and then were kind enough to reimburse me for the repair, in full.

Anyway, if your looking for a Classic Mini, and quality is high on your list, check out CAROLB555 on E-Bay. I think you'll be glad you did. And I hope that NAM will consider them as a legitimate Mini Dealer along the East Coast.

BTW, Richard is an Englishman well versed in the Classics and provides parts as well.

I'm also including a photo of my baby.........

I purchased my Classic ("Nigel") from them a year or so ago. Highly recommended. Their web site is at http://classicminiautos.com/. Carol's email is carolb555@hotmail.com. They're located in Hilton Head SC, so when you inspect your chosen Mini you'll get to see beautiful Hilton Head Island as well.

Well, I'm happy to know that my post is helping out others with any ideas towards the purchase of a classic. I for one know that there are alot of Mini retailers out there and you can spend goo gobbs of time and resources looking into the right one.
It's very helpful to have a vendor that keeps an open line of communication, and most importantly, is knowledgeable about there product.
Happy shopping to any and all interested in this avenue of motor cars.

Has anyone dealt with them recently? I went to look at a classic mini they had. The do seem to be very nice people. Also to the people that have bought cars from them, did you find anything not disclosed before the purchase?

I still have some email communications to date. Mostly the silly stuff. But if I need any help from Richard, I'm pretty sure I'll get it. As luck would have it, I have an excellent Classic Mini mechanic/racer in my own neighborhood, so the need to go to SC is minimal. (Non-existent actually)

I also posses some mechanical skills myself, so the internet Mini sites all work pretty well for me as well.

Heres a snap of my Classic since a little bit of work has been performed.

I like the new color! Almost looks like it has a little purplish tint to it.
