So have any of you seen the AWD conversion for the classic mini? It employs a honda CR-V transmission and a modified subframe.

How heavy does this make the mini?

i was intertertaining this idea at one point, but saw how much it would cost, and there would be alot of work needing done. as for weight, you are ripping out the old stuff, and adding a new subframe. plus you are going to need a driveshaft, and many more parts.

a guy in london has done this conversion, i will see if i can find his ## and ask him all the specs.
