My R50 is gone!!

Well, I finally caved. The R50 beauty that I've had for the last 4 years is gone forever. I'm now the VERY proud owner of a Chili Red R56 Turbo! OMG, I cannot believe how much better the R56 is over the previous generation MINI's. I mean, I thought that there was not much that could be better than my R50, but this new gen MINI kicks ***! What a difference. The ride, engine response, interior room, all so much more liveable. Now I'm off the porch and running with the BIG DOGS now!! Ruf, ruf, ruf!!

You made a good upgrade choice, sir. Once a Miniman always a Miniman!

Me Too

I thought I'd really miss my '03 MCS, but everything about the new one keeps reminding me that it was time.....if I had a two car garage and less stuff to pay off, I'da kept it, though :-)

Also, at first look I had reservations about the R56 styling in comparison to the old one, but it's grown on me, especially the front end....now I say Evolve or Revolve, people...

Congrats, Have to agree, I am really enjoying mine.

Little bugger gets up and runs. Just got my radar/laser detector/jammer today to keep from getting tickets. I kept noticing I was well over 80-90 and not realizing it.

The overall ride and finish of the R56 is better but when I get back in my '03 Cooper I have just as much fun. Why? To me, even though R50 is a little "less refined", it is a Mini/MINI and so "less refined" still seems to fit the car nicely. How cool is that!!!
