Karma is a strange thing. I just received an e-mail from my salesperson saying that my car was placed on a ship on the 9th (about the same day it was completed) and should arrove in the U.S. approximately the 22nd!!!
So, why isn't my VIN # showing up on the tracking sites?
I believe MINI uses two shipping companies; one can be tracked by plugging in the VIN, and the other (Is it K-Line?) is untrackable. Yours may be aboard the latter of the two.
I think you are correct. It is the FRISIA and left on the 9th for Charleston and should arrive on the 22nd or 23rd. Received a fax from my salesperson will all the necessary info, but I can't find a tracking service that works for this ship.

Congratulations on beating my record, though.
MINI actually uses three shipping carriers. Only one of those three makes it to the West Coast while all three do business along the East Coast. Tracking varies from company to company.
It'll take less than two weeks to cross the pond, probably closer to 9 days.
Unfortunately, you'll need to wait for it to come from an East Coast port (probably Charleston, SC). BMW doesn't have a vehicle distribution center on the gulf coast.
By the way, good choice on the DS with the black roof.
My MINI took a little over 3 weeks from the time it was finished in production until it finally got on a ship . It was the longest 3 weeks I have ever experienced!
But it's happily now home and has fun motoring around!!!
