I'm getting ready to order my new MCS and I'm torn between two color ways.
When I first decided to buy a mini I wanted Red with white top/stripes. When I went to the dealer to test drive one, they had an Electric blue with black top/stripes. I thought that looked really sharp in the showroom. Now I'm stressing myself out over which I will be happier with. My current car that I will be losing due to the lease being up is a Red Jetta and I have not gotten tired of having a red car in the 4 years of leasing it.

Here are the links to the two colors I am looking into. I hope it's ok to "borrow" these urls.

Red
Electric Blue

Help!

Can't be wrong if your thinking of Electric Blue.

Although I am no longer EB/W I would
go with EB. But not a black roof.
I'm liquid yellow/white now......

Just personal preference. I don't like electric blue. Looks like a color you might find on a bag of funky jelly beans. I personally would get tired of a light blue car way before it was time to sell.

Colour has lots to do with where you may live. I’m in a state that is very hot most of the year and EB is a good colour for here. It does not show dirt as much as many of the others do. I do have to agree with 2minis though; white roof is the way to go with Electric Blue.

The last red car I had was (egads

(Disclaimer: Even though I love my choice, like many others, I've never seen a bad looking color on a MINI) Go with your heart!

It seems like very few people posting have the british racing green. Any reason why?

The 2 most popular colours for the MINI are silver (they don't say which one) maybe they are grouping them, and red. Just a fact. Not to influence your decision.

All colours seem to look good (haven't seen the gold and not sure I want to)

But hey, whatever you pick I'm sure you'll be happy.
Good luck Woody

I say go with the red! Very classic, even though I am partial to blue (2003 IB/B MCS )

EB/B is a rare combo and done up right (with tints and some sweet anthricite wheels) it can look awesome. Do you want to be unique? Go for the EB.

I know how you feel. I have always wanted a sporty yellow car, so I was set on yellow before I even saw it in person.
But when I saw how beutiful Indi Blue looked I almost changed my mind. Sometimes I think Pepper White looks so classy that I just have to have it.
Other times I kick myself that I didn't hurry up and order before they discontinued the very unique Silk Green.

However, my heart keeps calling me back to Liquid Yellow, so that is what my MINI will be. When I finally get it!!!!

Good way to look at it.

So now, Baby, I'm going with HOT CHILI RED W/White top, mirrors, and stripes...O BEHAVE!!!
Chili Red makes me feel this way

This was my initial idea, to be unique.

Go with your heart!
My heart tells me CR/W. I was making this too hard.

Thanks for all the input!

Chili Red/White is great. Not as unique as EB/black. Saves you $400 for the paint job.
CR, dark silver, pure silver, british racing green are all classic colors. Can't go wrong.
White is a nice roof color and is cool. Some people prefer black if they get the sunroof.
It's hard to find a color combination that isn't good with the right accessories-wheels etc.
Don't worry too much, your narrowed choices are good no matter what.

Color should be carefully choden. I bought the Indi Blue, and although I get tons of compliments on it, I really [refer the Pepper white w/Blk top. Good Luck!

I have BRG/White, but if I didn't have it which I love, EB/black would be my next choice.

I have CR/W with stripes and it looks awesome, but it is the most popular combination. I haven´t seen electric blues with black roofs before and I think the look is very unique and bold. Either color is great. It would be a matter of how unique you want to be.

EB/W is also a great color, more common too.

By the way, does anybody have an all Electric Blue (body and roof?)
would love to see a picture!

Another great combination is pure black/white with the stripes and white rims. I would have never considered black for my Mini until I saw one.

i would go with the EB/B. i am picking mine up today and it looks great with the black roof! i have seen white and it's o.k., but the EB is a light color so the black offsets the light blue. the mini is a two tone color car in my mind and the light bodys with dark top or dark body with light top looks good. i also found that the roof blends in with the pillers and a light tint would look great. e-mail me if you want a photo of mine. good luck
