Frankensteinmobile?
3 rotary buffers, 1 random orbital, multiple coats of Liquid Glass, Meg's #7, Meg's UQD, Turtle Wax Ice, and lots of attention to detailing. If you keep up on it, it is not that hard, at all, to keep it looking that nice.

The end result is, people have gone out of their way to walk up to it and gawk at it. It's a lot of fun to watch. I once stopped for something to eat at a restraunt, and the whole place, (20+) was talking about the car, and asking me a million questions. Needless to say, my food got cold.

You know like the Alice Cooper song FEED MY FRANKENSTEIN. It is green and black like the traditional movie Frankenstein. I thought it was intentional. But whatever it is a really cool car with the best available colors

That is really cool story. Looks like I need a buffer

That's cool. I only took that name cause it was the very 1st thing I thought of when I bought my 1st MC. I seen the Cooper logo on the back, and said, the 1st thing I wanna do, is get one of those keychains, you know, the ones with the names on them, and attach "ALICE" above the Cooper. I never did find one though. You only see 'em when you don't need them.
My 1st MC was pure silver, and it used to frustrate me that, no matter how much I detailed it, it didn't "pop". I seen a BRG\BLK top at the dealership (I live 3 min away), and said,..."I want one of them", so I ordered it, and got my dream machine in the colors I wanted.
Never knew jack about detailing until I got my 1st MC. Now, I enjoy doing it. Luckily I have a two car garage to work in. I got the halogens and even a mobile padded seat to use (saves on the back pain). I don't think I could live without a "buffer or two" now. It's actually relaxing for me, and better than being a couch potato.

Roland looks good-I had thought about doing the black trim on the grill and it definitely looks good with our color combo.

Nice

Thanx for your pictures I fell better now. My car was in Panama today.
Suwanee M3 what color is your dash? Is it alloy/silver, or cream? The trim on your doors look silver. They are all a sight for sore eyes. You guys are all over the country. That color combo is rare in the Los Angeles area. We have the blues , silver and reds here.

i still can't decide between BRG with white bonnet stripes and roof, or black. the white stands out more and looks more like a mini, but the black looks more sporty. i'm just afraid the black will blend in too much, but the pictures above are nice. help me decide!

BRG was my first choice color, but when I saw it with a black roof and bonnet stripes, it just seemed too dark for my tastes. To my eye, it wants the white roof. Still, to each his own, and the configurator doesn't do it justice. I think BRG and Laser Blue are poorly represented in the configurator.

I really like the BRG with the gold on it. I might have my stripes removed and gold ones put on. I like the green and gold, classy!

I'm biased ... black stripes and roof, no question (and blacked-out repeaters and black hoodscoop after this photo)
