Hello! New Mini Owner
Just dropping a quick note to say HI.
Just picked up my 2007 Mini Cooper S on Thrusday. Didn't build it, just picked one off the lot after looking through the web site on the local dealers site.
Its a Chili Red with White roof.

Xenon Headlights and Fogs
Already got her first mod being checkmate mirror covers. Couldn't wait and got them put on when I picked it up. Had to do something that made it mine. Still LOTS more to go. This is my second car and the other is a 2001 Camaro SS and is having a new 427ci small block dropped. Killed the motor after a race :( so its time for a new one ( figures just paid that one off too ).
Next mods to come are either the America Flag for the sunroof only, or checkmate, with the check mate sides and interior panels.
Engine is definitely getting the CIA, and most likely getting the ALTA tubes to clear up the restrictions. I plan to take her out on the road coarses. Since the SS goes in straight lines, I needed one for the curves. And DANG this hugs the road. Its really reminds me of my old 68 porsche, stearing and all.
I noticed something already, that other mini owners usually wave or beep. pretty kewl community.
Well that and everyone just has to tell you how much they like it and that its cute.

I'm new to the mini "s" this month. former car was jeep wrangler( all wrangler owners waved "it's a jeep thing". ) so cal mini owners don't seem to be as ready to wave as the jeepies, but I'm working on it. I don't think I'll ever see the promised 36 mpg as long as that turbo keeps yelling at me to stomp on the gas!
You're lucky to have found what you were looking for on a lot - good for you...Yayyyy

Thank youCan't wait to get back home and start putting more stuff on.
My wife is already addicted and wants to get one also this summer.
