New pics of Winston with some Alta and H&R goodies!

Had this stuff on for a week now, and could not be happier! The H&Rs make the car ride SOOOOOOOOOOO nice, and the Alta stuff sounds incredible, and adds a noticeable amount of power. Enjoy!

Very Nice!!! Can't wait to get the same set-up on mine (very similar cars... good taste!) Which checkered sunroof is that? (and would you recommend it?)

Absolutely LOVE them!!! I don't like full leather seats, so I was gonna go with just the red color line, and the black cloth seats, but my (genius) MA showed me the red/black cloth/leather seats, and I was sold. Well worth the $1000 IMO.

It's a perforated sunroof decal from Aesthetic Creations. I wouldn't necessarily recommend it (or AC for that matter, despite the fact that everyone on NAM raves about them), but I wouldn't necessarily NOT recommend it either. Confusing, I know. :impatient

The decal is pretty nice, but...

The black checks are much more faded and grey looking than I would have liked due to all the tiny holes (perforations), but what can ya do? Also, the instructions that I received were for an entire roof decal install, not a sunroof decal install. Last but not least, AC charged my card the day I placed my order, but didn't ship my graphic for like 3 weeks, with no explanation as to why there was such a huge delay. When I ordered it, Mike said it would ship out the following week, and it didn't ship for 2 weeks after that.

That being said, these companies are essentially selling giant stickers, so I guess one shouldn't expect too much from them. I have a feeling I could have had a similar experience regardless of who I bought it from. I did eventually get my graphic, it was as described, and I was able to install it myself. So it wasn't a total mess, just not as great as it could have been.

Looking good, are you planning a dyno run before you continue with the mods or just going by the feel of the butt dyno?

No dyno runs planned, but I'm also not sure how many more mods I'll be installing anytime soon. The car is crazy fast as it stands, so I think I might be done for a while.

Did you do the work your self for the alta products? If so, Can you give time to complete estimates on each component and any problems you ran into?

Your car looks great. And it is a good advertisement for the Sandia's as well.

I did install the Alta stuff myself. The intake and turbo inlet hose took about an hour, hour and a half maybe. Would have been less, but 2 of the washers Alta sent with the kit didn't fit over the bolts they included. Kinda strange. So I spent a little time drilling the holes bigger in those.

The exhaust took about 3 hours because it was quite tricky to cut the factory exhaust out of there when the car was up on just jack stands (sawzalls don't really like tight spaces). I also spent about an hour lining the tips up JUST right. I'm kinda **** like that. If I had a lift and was less ****, I could have done it in an hour, hour and a half tops.

Thanks! I love the Sandia Mountains so much!!! They are such an amazing backdrop to our somewhat crappy city. Have you ordered yours yet, or are you holding out for an '08?

Great looking Mini! I couldn't agree with you more on the H&R springs and the Alta stuff! We just finished installing the exhaust yesterday and there is a VERY noticeable difference in sound. I love it!

A question for you - did you have any problems with rattling after you installed the new exhaust (any banging on the heat shield or anything like that)?

I sure as heck have. I'm broke as a joke as a result too!

I did, and the shop that installed my springs fixed it for me. The first muffler (silencer, whatever) on the Alta exhaust was hitting the chassis bracket just a tad. I had bent the bracket down hoping it would be enough to clear, and it wasn't. So they readjusted the exhaust, and cut the bracket like Alta recommends, and no more rattle!

THANKS FOR ALL THE COMPLIMENTS EVERYONE!!!
