Stability control taking over. Turn off the ESC.

This doesn't have anything to do with your MINI being in the body shop, does it?

Yep, large amount of torque + no LSD = torque steer in an MCS

It might be the traction control kicking in if you spin one of the tires.....PEZ

Torque steer. Better if you have LSD, but still a biatch.

I had my mcsa shipped from florida so it had rock chips on it. They are going to fix that and the arch and the tail light cover has scratches all over it.

Hold the right button in front of the shift lever. A yello triangle with a circle comes on for a short period. It stays off until you push the button again or you turn off the engine and turn it back on. That's how you do the burn outs from standing still.

Yep that's fwd cars for you. Any fwd with enough power (torque) will cause torque steer. A LSD definitely helps the situation out though.

LSD is only available for the manual tranny so those with auto's just have to live with the torque steer.

ASC=OFF. Automatic Stability Control. It's big-brother for poor diving habits. Think Microsoft for your Mini. Turn it off and Motor On!

My ASC will not turn off. I held it down and hold it down and nothing.

It has only kicked in on one occasion while trying to avoid a drunk Acura driver who was dead set on ramming me. He missed,..but did a nice number on the Ford Expedition he rammed instead.

I stopped and go out to listen to the drunk driver cursing thee Ford driver and inbetween hurling sessions he would keep asking why the Ford pulled out in front of him. Never mind the red light he ran while being on the wrong side of the road. I was just chuckling when the officer pulled up.

Oh,..there might have been one other occasion. A two lane left hand turn. I was on the inside and the outside car decided he liked my lane better in the middle of the turn, so I did the panic brake and it felt like it kicked in there.

Oops,..I digress. Anyway, it just will not turnoff on Romi. Much like all of her programming being locked into place. Odd that.

I am SO glad that drunk missed you, Skuz. Would hate to have to endure more Romi-style whining!

Oh,..I am afraid if that drunk had hit me, I would not have been here to whine. He was doing about 50MPH when he hit that Expedition and almost flipped it over.

Luckily, no one was hurt. Go figure.

Had I been hit and lived,..yes,..it would have been the whine of whines. I can assure you of that.
