had my mini on the dyno for the first time this past Saturday. 3 passes all almost exactly the same. ran 170 HP to the wheels untuned. I have a Unichip Q, the shop says once i tune i should see 15-20% gain in HP. does this sound like a good number considering all my mods in the sig, or should i be expecting more or less?
Ill scan and post the graph tonight.
I feel like my next step is head, cam injectors, and throttle body. does that sound about right?

 

Looking at your sig., I hope that was a conservative dyno? What dyno was it? And yes a head would be your next step. I would call RMW, they seem to have the best head option right now.

 

its a Dyno Dynamics AWD dyno at No Limit Motorsports on Long Island NY, ive heard that they are conservative. Hes gonna tune the Unichip next week and then we will see what i gain.

 

Cool, keep us posted. Our club is trying to get Jan from RMW out here to tune our cars, he is using Dimsport software. Hopfully we will have a bunch of dyno sheets to post .

 

I know all dynos are different but it seems kind of low considering the fact that MINIs come stock with about 150hp to the wheels. I think with all the mods you have, you should be seeing more. What gear were you in on the dyno?
