I'm curious now...what say all? 1st and 2nd gen. Not what the dealer says but what you are experiencing on a daily basis.

With an 07 MCS 6 speed I get about 29-30 around town, that includes freeway commuting. About 36 running strictly highway at 70 or so. I got well over that in the hills along the northern Mississippi by watching the consumption rate and coasting down hills. That is actual not the OBC estimate that tends to be about 6% optimistic. Hot rodding through the counrtyside about 25 was the worst.

Average 26.5 city/rural road combined. I very seldom get on the highway for more than a mile or so. 06 JCW. That's my calculations based on mileage and fill up. Last was 320 miles and used 12.2 gallons to fill up. I reset the odometer each time.

MPG

I have a heavily modified 2004 MCS, around town I usually average 24mpg. At least a couple times a month I drive to Charleston from Atlanta. Usually average 85mph and 32-33 MPG, not bad for a 230hp brick! On my last trip I even broke 400 miles on a tank of fuel.

I've been getting 27.5 over the first 550 miles. About 50/50 highway/city driving. Highway in to work in the morning, back roads home.

My daily commute is about 5 minutes on the highway for every 10 minutes of city stop/go, and the computer indicates around 28mpg in these conditions.

We never do strictly city, but with mixed driving we average 32-34 mpg, and on the freeway we average 36-38 mpg, with a high of 41 mpg on one trip.

although most people have done it already, you should also state if its auto or manual as that has an impact on mileage as well.

2007 Mini Cooper with manual transmission. At 2900 miles the calculated average MPG is 40.27. I generally have no traffic to contend with.

'06 MCS -- low 20's pure city, 26-27 typical (mixed driving), 31 pure hwy.

(Basically any time I'm not in cruise control I'm driving with a lead foot.)

Skeeter (6 speed) is at 3,580 miles and after the first 1,500 miles has been treking at 32+ MPG. The last two fill ups was at 32.5, every few weeks he seems to increase by 1/10th, calculations are by hand, the OBC has been really close to the same figures. Travel is 80% freeway, bay area commute with traffic.

I'm getting about 33+ average with highway travel on my 6-speed manual transmission, but this is NJ turnpike traffic, which includes A LOT of crawling. However, I've only driven stick for about a month now and can probably improve that with better habits. I'll reset it at the next fill to be sure.

I have an O6 MC (not MCS). In city driving I get 27-29 mpg in the summer with AC and 28-30 mpg in the winter with no ac. I have a 13 mi commute downtown from the McLean.

Highway trips some what depends on traffic. If traffic is going at or around the posted 55 mph I get 36-36 mpg. If traffic starts moving at above 70 mph the milage drops to 32 mpg but will hold that for long runs at 80 mph (for example on I 95 through NC, SC and GA where traffic tends to run at that speed or faster).

The MPG numbers for the O6 are not that different from the O3 that I had before.

I get pretty close to 33.5 every fill up. And that's calculated. I think the OBC figures are pretty well useless.

'07 MCS Manual.
