Loose repeater - how to tighten?

My 2004 MCS just came back from the body shop, and the repeater (that side light, on the side fender with the "S" on it) is loose. How do I tighten it?

It just snaps in, so there is no real way to tighten it. If they are removed and replaced multiple times, there is a tendency for them to be somewhat loose afterwards (plastic tabs and such may be bent)

There is a tab at the front and a post at the back that hold it on. I once considered using a dab of silicone caulk on the post when I had a loose fitting piece but replaced that piece with a new one instead.

If it's loose in the rear of the part, you can bend the metal tab in a little if the plastic clip isn't broken. If it's the front that's loose, replace the grommet (part number 51-40-0-766-479). Or you can just silicone it in.

Pry the front out CAREFULLY and just far enough for the pin to clear the body. Then pull forward.

Slide the light towards the rear of the car before prying outward on the front edge. There is not really a way to tighten it -- the plastic tab on the rear side might have been flexed too far and lost some of its springiness. After you take it out, maybe you could apply some tape or other filler to the opening so it would be more snug.

Take it back to the body shop? They should have put a new one on if this one is worn out now.

just take it out and put silicone around it and when it dries it will tighten up

it's not worn out, the metal tab is just bent outwards. this is normal if you remove them.
