Don't start a new thread if it is the same question-

Yes, 215/45-17 or 205/45-17 will be fine for you.
Falken Ze 512 are old and have been replaced by Ze 912 for $82 each in 215/45-17 offer good value.
Kumho Ecsta ASX is a good overall tire and more value oriented.
General exclaim UHP is high on comfort at the expense of handling but it is still very good, offers good value and is a good street tire.
If you want more performance then look at the Ultra High Performance All Season tires like-
Bridgestone potenza RE960AS
Yokohama ADVAN S.4.
Goodyear eagle F1 All Season and others.
I have found the General UHP Exclaim (205/50/16's on my 2007 MCS) to be an excellent value in a street tire: smooth riding, comfortable, relatively quiet, long tread life, very good wet grip and plenty of dry grip for any kind of sane street requirements. Economical to buy, a lot of bang for the buck. Not the tire you would use for auto-x or track, but for day-to-day street use it's hard to beat for the money.
Should be fine.
my $.02:
I've had 205/45, 215/40, and now have 215/45 - all fit just fine. Both 215s have been Falken 512s. I think the 40s looked sexier - with their slightly lower profile, but they did reduce ground clearance a bit (had to be more careful over speed bumps, dips, and such) and I did not think the ride was significantly better than with my OEM Run Flat Dunlops. But for me, a smoother ride is not that much of a priority.
Non Run Flats - the General Exclaim UHP you selected - (vs. what I presume are your OEM Dunlop RFs) should ride better too.
Being as the 215/45 is a little bit taller than your 205/45 - that should help improve the ride a little too (I think mine do). Any new tire will be quieter than your aging Dunlops. Most, if not all, tires will start to howl as they wear out ~ my Dunlops did.

All are good choices but I would reccommend going with a performance all season tire H/V rated. If you want to step into the ultra high performance all season category then there are some trade offs to that.
I would recommend the Yokohama AVID H4S - comes with a 30 day test drive and tire rack has them $96.00 each and they are the quitest and most comfortable tire in their test.
The ADVAN S4 is an excellent tire, I personally have them on my wife's Jetta. I have driven these in all weather conditions from snow, sleeting rain, heavy down rain showers, country dirt roads, and track driving that my wife doesn't know about. What can I say I like to drive fast. I found the tires to be quiet, great performance in dry and wet, and wear smoothly and evenly. I do keep them rotated regularly and air pressure checked monthly.
