Burnout...

Ok..so what does one do with 2 Redneck kids in an 80's Chevy pickup truck that come up behind you at a stop sign and get on your **** 'purposely'...apparently the Mini is a threat.

-1) Ignore it and let them pass (safe option)
-2) Light the tires up and leave them in a plume of smoke

Wow..never felt anything like that (coming from the Audi Quattro Family).. of 1-2 wheel of rubber destruction on the tarmac. Not recommended to actually gain speed

Looked in the rear view mirror the smoke was rather entertaining...

Naughty...naughty...I know.

Once you get 'em spinning, they'll keep going through a couple gears. Not good on $200 rubber.

Why do people find the MINI threatening. It is always the people That call it "gay" that are threatened.

And over $900 labor. heheh, but if you have it, go ahead. I was too poor to get a light flywheel and quaife when my clutch actuating bits went bad.

I'll take option one as well. Speaking of feeling in-adequate, I had a turbo'd prelude ride my *** from stop light to stop light last night leaving school. He even was so bold as to put me in my place by passing me and flooring it while I was grannyshifting.... (mumbles under breath..."piece of **** honda")

I'd gladly take option 2 ^_^

Oh and hey, I have a 93 Prelude. If I were cruisin around and came across a Cooper S...knowing they have forced induction, I'd try em...I'd like to see what they got :-D

How about option #3:

"Lure them to nearby twisties and make them puke"

That's my choice. I save my rubber for the twisties.

Heh, twisty revenge is always best. I had a silly ford escape riding my rear like he was trying to push me even though I was already going plenty fast in the right lane of a 35mph road. When I got the the interstate onramp I wanted I changed lanes and was about to apply brakes for the 25mph ramp when I saw the Escape still clinging to my bumper. So, instead, I accelerated and turned sharply up the ramp. When I glanced in my rear view I could see that Ford Escape bowing rather deeply to my Mini's superior handling. It didn't look like he ran it completely off the road.

I find that a convenient offramp or roundabout comes in handy in such circumstances.

Why do people like to Tailgate MIni's?
I get that a lot during my commute to work & home it seems most of times they are SUV's & Big Fullsize trucks.
I've got rear ended twice @ same place (1st, Full size Ford truck & Months later 18 Wheeler semi)

go Option 1 (there are crazy people out there, Road Rage Kills...)
