I ordered the tail light kit from Moss Mini, along with the recommended additional wiring kit. The lights install rather easily utilizing the existing harness(es). The additional wiring kit will need to be installed under the front dash running from the fuse box (left side) to the BCU (Body Control Module) located on the right side. The instructions are designed for a Mini technician to understand and are to be used in conjunction with their Mini tech manuals. From what I can gather the wiring kit enabels the rear fog light as a brake and may increase the voltage as well in order to get a more "red" light (opposed to the more "pink&quot---however, I'm not exactly sure it this is correct. My question is this: Is this the wiring kit really necessary and what is its purpose (for sure)?

Quick Question: Where did you get those red reflectors ? They don't look like the ones that come with the kit.

Thanks....

My reflectors are the red oval variety found at Walmart with adhesive backs. I cut one in half with a hacksaw and put one each on the outer grille edge just like the picture. The two posted pictures are not my car- just examples of what could be done. You can get similar reflectors from any car parts store or from the parts dept of your favorite dealership. I'm sure many cars have a small reflector that fits in the rear bumper. These parts can be used in our MINIs. Check out the reflectors that fit in ther rear of the new Mazda 6. They look kinda cool to me.
