VGS removed

Today i took the VGS off because i installed a boost gauge and wanted to compare the before and after readings. When i set it back to stock i notice a huge difference in performance. The car pulled harder with it OFF. All my lines where tight and zip tied so i know they were no leaks. With the VGS, i would hit 10psi almost instantly than it would creep to 14psi. With it OFF, i hit 12psi at 3k rpm and thats as much as i checked because it's lunch hour and too many people are on the road. Did anyone else experience this? I checked every forum but noone really talked about any cons of this mod. The only thing i can think of is people have said the Pre s/c horn gets extremely hot and that could possibly outweigh the benefit of doing this. Can someone drop in a line?

I've been running with the VGS for a long while now, as I did it with my pulley install. I'll be installing a boost gauge soon so I might do some pre and post testing.
