R52 Anybody have a technique for entering their Convertible?
LOL...my shepherd got stuck in the boot last week. Whole time I thought she was just relaxing with her butt in the back, only to find out she was really in there.
What happens if the top happens to be up? You don't get in?
I had a friend who thought that was a great idea, until he had to have the right door repaired and painted. Suzy was not as athletic as he thought!

Why? The doors have SUPPER sturdy hinges! The first time I looked at a MINI the MA told me to open the door and put all my weight on it. I got up on it and it was really rock solid. I am not a lightweight guy either!

Here's the MINI ad of jumping into the cabrio: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CpaDe7ByNxw
And how they filmed it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WljJPl4f2UM
Both of the videos used to be on the MINI International website in higher quality, but I can't find them any more. They also had a humorous game demonstrating various methods to jump in, but that seems to be gone as well.

'Rita's Ritual
I walk up to her grinning like a crazy woman
, tell her she's beautiful (she grins back
REALLY, I'm sure that's a grin on her face too). Open the door, tell her I LOVE her, put the key in and off we go...two grinning fools.

One bad move, and my 230 lbs could put a world of hurt on this little car!
