I understand that you can put 6.5" speakers in the doors, but, is that behind the factory HK grills? How much depth would I have? I want to keep the factory look.... also, what is the depth/width of that opening for the mid+tweeter? Thanks!

 

There's good depth in the doors; about an inch between the door skin and the interior trim panel, then (from memory) about 2" behind before you hit the window mechanism.
The mid/tweeter position is tiny and difficult to mount to.

GBMINI, thanks for the info, pics! I remember seeing theses in the past, could not find though! Ok, so, are you saying there is 3" worth of depth for a 6.5" speaker BEHIND the factory HK grill? If I have 3" worth of depth, I might be able to fit just about anything I want in there
