Radio question (again, sorry)

Hi,
I posted a couple weeks ago saying I could
not figure out the fuse.

I got some excellent replies but I still have not
been able to figure it out. I'm more of a mechanical
person than an electrical person.

I'm hoping I can just get the easy answer. I searched
the threads again but nothing popped up that I needed.

I have the XM sportster wired in through the aux input.
The ground is connected to a bolt. The positive, I have
tried a number of fuses (currently F3). It works, but doesn't
turn off with the key out, even after 30 mins, or all day.

What fuse should I connect the positive to so it turns off
with the key?

Also, I have a fake alarm light. In my older style car, one
wire goes to the 'constant on' and one wire goes to the
'accessories'.

What fuses do I connect these wires so that the light is
on when the key is out, and off, when the key is in?

(obviously it will be one same wire as the XM)

I'm hoping that somebody can say
Wire X goes to Fuse Y.

Thanks.

As posted elsewhere you can use fuse F21 which powers up when the door is unlocked and and has a 30 minute delay power down.

I hooked it to the F21 fuse.

It still does not turn itself off.

Any help, please.

It turns out the F21 switch does turn the sportster
off after a while (not sure never timed it).

But, I think the doors have to be locked for it to do this.

Thanks for all the help!

Glad I could help. You know, another possibility would be to use F32 which only applies power when the car is actually turned on.
