"MINI mobility kit" to fit inside boot panel

i bought a continental kit from tire rack, but as you can guess (or know) it doesn't fit inside the boot panel under the rear fenders. is there a pump/fixflat kit ACTUALLY AVAILABLE FOR SALE that is slim and small enough to fit in this panel? i'd read that the continental kit used a fix flat compound that was preferred (in terms of not gunking up the inside of the wheel like the cheap stuff you find at pep boys) so that's why i ordered this one, but i really would prefer to find one i could tuck away inside the passenger side panel (tail light access). i don't mind taking my chances driving around town with non-runflats and no spare, but for road trips, especially if my wife takes the car, i don't want her to risk being left stranded till roadside assistance gets to her.

this is for a 2006 model.

thanks!

I got a compressor from Sears that fits perfectly inside the side panel. The price is only $19.99. I would post a link but it seems like sears.com is down for maintenance.

For flat repair, I just have a plug kit. I keep all the components (with a pair of pliers to pull the nail or screw out) inside a ziploc bag. It's compact enough to fit in the area where the battery is on a Cooper S. I'm planning to toss out the plug kit and replace it with the Dynaplug. http://www.dynaplug.com/

Iniside the passenger side panel, I keep a pair of work gloves and a tire pressure gauge.

Here you go, complete with pics:

Slime is water soluble and cleans up easily when the tire shop is removing the tire. It's the aersol "Fix a Flat" stuff that the tire technicians don't like.

glad i asked here. i got the $20 pump from sears, and a bottle of slime and a pair of gloves, under $40 all in. i'll add a dynaplug and be good to go, and still less than either the contintal kit (which doesn't fit) or the genuine mini kit, which i found for $100 at minispeed (http://www.minspeed.net/MFK.htm)

whee!

Did you get this one? http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_1...seBVCookie=Yes

So far I only used it once to pump up all my tires for auto'xing. Works fast with no fuss. Oh, don't forget a pair of pliers to pull the screw or nail out of the tire.

Having a multi-tool with a screwdriver is also handy should you pick up a screw in the tread. I've "unscrewed" a small screw before, as it was easier than trying to rip it back out with a pliers.

yep, that's the one i got. i read about a better looking model here: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...7&postcount=24
might be a bit more robust, but i'd already got this one and was tired of buying and returning pumps, so i'm done with this phase of equiping my MINI now...
