Coilover question

Looking around at coilovers I have but one question:

What is the lead content of the paint used?

obviously serious. apparently, licking the dirt off is the best way to keep the suspension clean. I think the paint is lead-free. Doesn't say much about brake-dust free however

if you used lead paint on a coilover....wouldn't that make the car really heavy? . I guess you could then fill your tires with helium to offset the weight. LOL.

In all seriousness though, I doubt it matters unless you do as PGT suggests and lick the coilovers clean...that might cause some plubism.

I'm not gonna lock it, a good fun thread every now and then is a healthy thing

Although, if it was a serious question, I apologize for making fun....and I don't have an answer for you.

i'm looking into coilovers also and have narrowed my choices down to a few, however the amount of lead in the paint used is driving me crazy too

i have my wife wash my car and she's always putting things in her mouth, the same is true for my kids. the problem is i cant stand any of em' and i'm trying to take em' all out real sneaky like so it's imperative that i get the coilovers with the most lead in them as possible

thanks (and dont tell anybody about my plan, wink wink)

Our coilovers are black, with orange anodized perches and baby blue springs...

What? No red?

Sorry, no red, lead-based paint...

I've decided this thread has been rendered unfunny. No reason to comment further.

I recently learned most of the leading manufactuers of brake pads are considering flavoring the compounds so that the dust can be removed from your wheels by licking, thus rendering a usually disgusting job into something of a treat!See you dealer for details.

Hawk did just this, in early 09' You gotta try the Cherry flavor it's the bomb!!! Now if only we can get the exhaust grime to taste like chocolate.....hmmmm what if we added coccoa to gasoline? It would definately raise the octane level!!

EBC green (Lime)
EBC yellow (Lemon)
EBC Red (strawberry)

There is too much lead in coilover paint!! Make sure you lower those MINIs to the GROUND so people (and animals) don't lick them springs!
