Hey buddy car

Howdy NAMily,

I noticed an interesting human dynamic, and wonder if it is universal. I was in line at the guard shack on my way to a golf tournament at a private (read snobby) country club in Basil, top down with my golf clubs in the front passenger's seat. There were many benz and bimmers in the line, and I could not hear the verbal exchange between the guard and the other drivers, but when I got to the guard, I was greated with "hey buddy". I doubt that most of the rest of the drivers were greated as warmly. I like the idea that minis are "hey buddy" cars, instead of "yes sir, may I help you" cars.

Any similar experiences?

I read an article once about the California Highway Patrol noting a change in peoples attitude when they stopped using Kawasaki and switched back to Harley Davidson Motorcycles. It seems people were much nicer to officers on Harleys.
