Hello,

Long old timer here, been away for awhile but always lerking. I am from South Florida, recently retired and locating in the area of Hickory, Lake Norman, Granite Falls areas. Pretty wide spread of an area but we are coming up to scout out the areas and then decide. A few of my friends have moved to NC and just love the areas mentioned. So I thought I would try here for some local advise. Where, What and When. Any information will be helpful. Wife is a teacher and one daughter will be attending first year of High school, the other daughter is heading to college. So wife needs a job teaching middle school aka Jr. High. I need a realtor so if your able PM me and we can talk land line. Planning to visit with part of my family (wife and one daughter) sometime this month (Oct.) and spend about 4 days looking before heading back to Hellville, I mean So Flo. Looking forward to hearing from someone.

PS...I will have another mini as soon as I move and am settled in.

We will also help if needed. Those areas are all great some around the lake are getting a little congested with traffic outgrowing the roads. We have chapters in Hickory and Charlotte, Asheville and Raleigh along with Columbia and Greenville SC. Just came back from Mickey & Mini's in Orlando and first rain we have seen in months. Had a great time in Florida except for the lovebugs. Most any realator can help you and there are alot who just specialize in the Lake Norman region since it is growing so fast. I am relocating as well to Shelby NC. My family is already there and just waiting the arrival of me, my cute hubby and my beautiful MINI. I am looking forward to getting involved in the club. Right now I live in AZ and I am a big part of dynamicminicollective.org. Its a car club here that I just hate leaving. I am looking forward to the move but I am not looking forward to leaving all my MiNi friends here!! Hopefully I will make new friends in NC.

Go by Luke or Luther or Lucifer. We have meet alot of people from Az at MITM copper Mtn Colorado.. Been the last 2 years and plan on returning 2008. Yes we hare having a short Quarterly Meeting and Christmas Dinner at British Tea Room in Greenville SC, Dec 8th. Can't wait to meet you and get you up to speed with our minimaniacs! Luke

 

MITM... we had 11 members go this past year. Thats a run that I have not done yet. I should of done it this year since next year I wont be close. We will see next year. Thats only 1hr 15min drive to Greenville. I just hope I am there by then. My husband will be but I have a house here that I have to take care of first!!

I'm ready. Just a little problem called a house. We own a business out here also that we are still trying to sell.

 

We are on our way to drop my husband off. I have to fly back to AZ to take care of some business but I should be leaving around the 15th of November in my MINI. My birthday is on the 18th and I really dont want to be here by myself.

We left on October 31 to drive my husband and his truck to NC. He is there and happy with his new job. I am still in AZ but I get to leave tomorrow. I had my car shipped from AZ to NC because as fun as my car is to drive I just hated that drive. The car should be there between the 18th Nov to 21st Nov. I made sure the driver knew how much I love the car and he better take care of it!!! I really wanted it by the 18th because thats my birthday but the driver was like... "I dont fly on the roads"... LOL. I am leaving on Southwest flying into Raleigh tomorrow. I am looking forward to meeting all of you soon!!
