Remote (blue) lead for AMP...6 spkr sound

Heres the deal, I have a line level converter to power my KENWOOD EXCELLON KAC-X1R. This is a monster of an amp. The BIGGEST problem is the remote lead to turn the amp on. I tried finding a direct link to the rt side fuse panel utilizing the cars stereo fuse and even the rear wiper fuse. THE PROBLEM was that the amp never turns off even when you lock it up and walk away. How can I resolve this issue? I want to power my amp in a safe way and want it to turn on ONLY when the stereo is on. PLEASE PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Look at the Stickey ("hot or not") at the start of the electrical section of this forum and it will tell you the circuits that are timed out or always on.

Agreed - it sounds like you've accidentally tapped into a "constant hot" lead for your remote turn-on signal.
But to make sure there's not a problem with the amp itself, try disconnecting the remote turn-on lead from the amp while it's on. If everything's working correctly, the amp should turn off immediately.

Some wires remain hot for a few minutes after you turn off the key. This confused my installer for awhile.

Thanks guys, I will check the "hot or not" link on here. Ya I tried the stereo fuse and even the rear wiper....constant power. Can anyone explain again which side of the fuse do you tap? Is it the fuse post which show 0 volts or do you want the other side with volts. Also you check this when the car is powered off right?
