When will the 2008 MCS come out?

I went to Assael Mini to order a Mini this past sunday and they told me that the Mini I am ordering is for a 2007? I thought the 2008 would be out by the time I ordered? Anyone has more information about when are the 2008 coming out? Or when should I order to get a 2008 model?

Thank You

The hardtop 2008 MINIs in the US should be available for order in the November/December timeline and arrive here Jan/Feb. I think the 2008 convertibles can be ordered now.

The base price increases by $500, right? any differences? besides the brake regenertion and auto window up and down and the USB connection? I am debating to whether wait for 2008 or take the 2007? any suggestions?

The brake regeneration and auto stop/start features are not coming to the U.S. (not even for the 2008 models). The only "known" changes expected to be on the 08's at this time are indeed the USB port and possibly the auto-up windows. Everything else is already coming on the late model 07's.

The brake regeneration will not make it to the US for 2008. I haven't seen confirmation that the auto window up will make it hear either. The only confirmed change that I know of is the USB connection and the display to indicate what your cruise control is set at. If those two options are important to you, wait (but the base price is going up and so are some of the option prices).

If it were me, I'd order now. The changes are not significant enough for me to wait the extra time when you could be enjoying your 07.

Are you saying that the USB connection is already in the late 2007 models?

Any confirmation of that? from people who have just received their 2007 MCS?

how about the auto windows up and down? will that come with the late 2007 models?

Seems the difference between 07 and 08 is not much then.
