Very fun time waster :)

I do like the F430 and love the sound, but that 599 looks like a fantastic beautiful streetable, dare I imagine, daily driverable machine
That was fun at first but got addicting quickly. But, I wanna know why I can't get black wheels to contrast my white 612 Spaghetti?

Ferraris are nice. I know the owner of one of the super-exclusive 2005 Ferrari Superamericas (a special version of the 575M Maranello, with an electrochromic glass panel roof that can rotate 180° to lay flat over the boot). Awesome car, I've sat in it... but I haven't been taken for a drive... yet! They only made 559 of them, so it's incredibly rare.
Oh, it must be nice!

The true exotics make terrible daily drivers.
I don't own one but everthing I've read for many years is that Ferrairs make terrible daily drivers. I'd love to own one
but I've read many threads where people who did by F430s, for example, regret the decisions and dump them. Then again, I'm sure there are other who keep them. Its those silly little things like $15K services and $1K oil changes

Nice find. But to be serious for a daily driver, read http://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/?p=2686

I can pretend can't I?

For what its worth the review I've seen of the 599 on the street was glowing, thus I'm pretending with that over the more track centric F430.

It's funny because we had this very conversation the other night, I was saying that as much as I enjoy looking at and hearing Ferraris I have never seen it as something I must ultimately own as an enthusiast. The cost of maint is a big thing and the fact is I'd be too worried about it to park it anywhere - then what's the point, can't park it won't be tracking it
I do love looking at them though, as who is to say, someday perhaps a classic will put a spell on me and end up in my 20 car garage :DThis is the best configurator though, really works well and good at showing your customizations, fun even if you are not on the market.
Yeah, like when you have to go to Ferrari for oil becuase no one carries 5-60 or whatever it is. And then, you need filters, too. Hhmmm, 10 or 20k mile service on a Mini, change oil, check air filter and tire pressure. 10-20k mile service on your F430, new timing belt, new water pump, all filters, clutch, prolly new tires by then if you use it like you should. Do I need to keep going?

"prolly new tires by then if you use it like you should."
I'm guessing you don't know what kind of tires come on these kinds of cars, their tread ratings, their costs, and how much in tire costs to go through in 20K miles.

The link worked this morning, but I've been unable to get in since I got home tonight. This is one of my favorite things to do (for almost any manufacture), so I hope they're just down right now, and not blocking traffic.
Ahh ya, OK, you can take your $250K car to Jiffy Lube if you like. Lotsa luck on that.
