just installed H&R coilovers today. they look way too low to me (highest setting).
got home and did a search here & found some people have the same problem with the kit.
nothing really wrong, but according H&R, car shouldn't be this low. what should i do now? did anyone try to contact H&R to discuss the issue?
wanna hear some feedbacks before calling them tomorrow

I think some people instaled a spring spacer to get them to the needed height.

I had a similar problem back in january. READ THIS POST If you saw that post earlier the picture links were dead, but I uploaded the pics again for you.

I contacted H&R and wound up returning the coilovers. Many thanks to Steve @ H&R (I'll PM you his phone number). H&R stood behind their product and did a lot to examine the issue -- including sending pictures of our installation to their engineers in Germany (their engineers vouched for the fact we did the installation correctly).

i used a 3/4" spacer between the spring bottom and the adjustable perch. H&R had no clue why I needed it and simply claimed the various Mini's releases may have had different parameters. Mine is a september 2002. The proper fix would be a longer spring, but with the same rate. If they simply added another wind, the spring would be longer but softer, so my guess is they wound the spring at the wrong pitch. The 3/4" spacer works fine, but at the highest setting, you have a fairly low ride. I can't imagine what you would use the almost 1-1/2" of remaining perch travel for???
