2007 stock stereo MP3 capability

I have 2007 cabrio base with the stock stereo. I like it but I have trouble with the MP3 playback. My home recorded MP3 discs have "lapses" during songs. Any suggestions?

I was just playing the MP3 disc I made and I didn't have any issues. I would try yours on something else that plays MP3's just to see if it might be the disc.

Try a different brand or type of disc.

Also, before you try a different brand of disc, try burning a disc at a slower speed (like 2X or 4X) instead of the fastest speed your burner is capable of. It will take a little longer, but if it works, at least the blank discs you already have will be good for something.

It's not the MINI stereo, it's your burning PC and/or software. If you play those CD's elsewhere, you will most likely here the same problem.

Why dont you just leave it MP3 format digitally like Ipod and use your plug in which is at the bottom of the center console...underneath. all you need is a mp3 player and a connect wire with 2 male ends. It works wonderfully

I finally got an iPod to stereo jack cable to connect my iPod to AUX. It sounds every bit as good if not better than cd's.

I find a good brand like TDK and such work well as mp3 discs. Also, make sure you close the session. Hope you get it working
