I've searched and only found "old news" on this intake. Anyone have any updates or real-world experiences to share?

I'm very curious about this intake, but there doesn't seem to be much discussion about it. Is anyone even purchasing it?

BTW, in case there's any confusion, I'm not referring to the Green Filter drop-in replacement, but the one shown here at MINI-Madness.

Thanks for any input!!!

... there was to be some dyno-testing of a few new intakes, but i think the hold-up has been availability ... i saw a Green Twistie installed on a car here in the northwest but the owner had just installed it and had no real impression of how it worked for him ...
... i'm on the edge of my seat, too ...

I am working on availability of the exact same intake as well. Madness's price is a bit high. If you are interested, drop me a pm and I'll see what I can do to get you one.

Interestingly, I just realized that these folks are right here near Pittsburgh!!! Geez! I might have to try to meet these guys and see what I can find out! (Maybe even try to see about and evaluation filter???)

Hey guys,

My Distributer has gotten back to me, and I have availability of these. If you are all interested in a group buy, we can work out a great deal on these intakes. The MSRP of the product is 279.28. E-mails me if your interested in a groupbuy, if we can get 5 or more, I think we can take about 40-60 dollars off.

Before doing a group buy, it might make sense to have someone with a Cooper put this on and evaluate it for a few weeks. I'm not saying dyno runs (would be nice) , but at least an opinion on whether it makes sense to drop cash on it...
I'm sure it SOUNDS & NLOOKS cool, but I want to know if it gives you any more power, how it compares to the Viper, etc.

I'm definitely interested in a group buy, but only after seeing reasonable results from a test case. If that happens contact me and I am in!

I am working on some dyno testing and some other testing that should hopefully tell how good this intake is. Give me a day or so to organize it all

Is it street legal? for almost $300 and not being street legal especially here in CA I dont think I'd pay that much.

I will check legality for CA of the intake. Also the Group buy price should be much much closer to 200. I will get you a definate answer though.

I am told that it passes the German Tests which are more strict than the CA ones which make it pass by default. I am being sent the paperwork to prove this, and will post it once I get it.

Thanks
Dan

Would this intake be comparable to the viper intake
http://www.diamondracinggroup.com/ca...es/cooper.html

and do you think we are still gonna get a dyno, or some idea of real world results?

The idea of saving about 70 bucks has me getting excited.

The German emissons test may be more strict, but in order for it to be "legal" in CA it must be tested and certified by CARB. I will still buy one if the price is close to $200.00.

Like I siad Regarding Emissions, THey are still looking into it. I'm glad to hear that you will still be interested at the low price. The group buy should be opening up soon, I just have a couple things that I am waiting for so that I can proceed.

Thanks
