Best R50 Cat back?

I was looking for opinions on this. Borla is a good name I know but not cheap. I've also heard good about the Minspeed exhaust and thats pretty affordable.

Or at least as far as exhaust goes. But, what about sound? I've read the Borla is fairly quiet but dosen't it get a little louder over time? I've seen videos of the Magnaflow and thats a little ricey for me. Does anyone have a sound clip of both the resonated and non-resonated Minspeed parts?

i was searching around a few days ago and came across a thread with sound clips... ill look and see if i can run into it again. but i do remember that my fav sounding was the megan and its not too much more expensive than going the route of buying individual resonators/muffler and having a muffler shop bend you a custom setup.

We stock and install the Borla Exhaust on Coopers. Sounds nice from the outside, and still quiet on the inside.

They did a group buy on a Megan Racing cat-back on here awhile back. I didn't get in on it but did buy one later and love it.

IMHO
The Borla R50 cat-back system was very easy to install, the fit and finish was excellent, the opening in the rear bumper is filled nicely by the chrome tip. The tone is perfect "euro sports" and a "not louder than she looks but alittle more than she is" volume. Interior volume is plesant "I actualy enjoy it, very mild but indicating revs" and can be acentuated with lowering the back seats. Outside its just awesome from what everyone tells me, especialy around 4500-6000rpm "she was loud as hell when you passed me goin up that hill" was one comment. I was looking for a system that performs as well as sounds great I did my shopping and listening and when I heard the Borla I was hooked. Subtle when I want it, and noticeable when I'm ON IT!! I hope this helps.

I also have the Megan Racing catback that I got on the group buy, and I love it. I could describe it pretty much the way GOTCURVES described his Borla. Euro-sounding. Rich. Not too loud, but authoritative. Reminds me of the sound of the cars in The Italian Job. But that's my ear.

Fit and finish is excellent, installation was easy. Everything fit properly, although my tailpipe is not perfectly centered.

Zip
