It's June, I would assume some of you would like to do a drive. Right now I don't have the time to plan one (although I'll be planning the Colorado MINI Drive Version 2.0 for July 19th).

If someone else wants a drive before then and is ready to step up and come up with the following, I'd be happy to send out an e-mail to mini5280 about it.

Needed Information:

Date and Time

Meet-up location

Route Description

Are there any meals along the way? If so, how do you want to handle that (remember you could have 30+ people)

NOTE: if you plan the route, it would be real nice if you lead the drive.

Also, June 28th and July 20th are the next BMWCCA autocross dates. You may want to plan around those.

Dave,
I would be willing to lead a drive. The only ugly things is that it would need to be this Saturday and I would prefer to leave from the Springs goto Cripple Creek and maybe the back way to Canon City and back to the Springs. If the timing is correct we could eat in Cripple Creek. This all depends if anyone is willing to go this Saturday. If not I can do it the 29th of this month.

Anyone let me know if you are interested and we can come up with a meeting spot and time. There is a very good chance I will do the drive by myself, so any number of MINI's are welcome.
Thanks,
Brad

I'm out of state for the next 2 weeks, won't return till 3 July. BUT!!! I would love to lead a drive from C Springs to Woodland Park and then North on HWY 67, but continue going straight at Deckers (not right). It follows the Platte river all the way to HWY 285 and then it's an easy spin to C470. Those from Denver can go home, those from the Springs can head south of I25 or 85 to Castle Rock.

Thoughts?

Geoff

canajun,
I have driven that road 5-6 times and it is a blast. I am up for driving that whenever anyone wants.

I like the sound of canajun's idea, sounds like a good drive, and I like the idea of being right next to the correct road to take me back to Denver.

So is there interest in trying to do this for this weekend? If so the notice should go out tonight or Thursday. I'll be happy to send it out if there is a date/time/meet location.

Brad: Thanks for the effort in advance. It sounds like a nice drive.
