Any update on XM Direct in '07MCS?

I noticed the threads stopped months ago? I am new to the Mini Cooper S and took one off the floor rather than order with Audio Package. I want the system to intergrate into the OEM radio along with Bluetooth.

Ideas? What about a Sirius solution?

Aftermarket XM

Check the threads about connecting to the factory "shark fin" for antenna connection. Standard SMB connector under passenger seat. I've installed a Sportscaster in the cubby hole in front of the gearshift. Hardwired the power, connected to factory antenna and get audio into factory system using the 1/8 inch stereo connector located in the same cubby hole. Sounds great and quite a clean install (I did myself). Myradio.com had the sportscaster for $20 and another $20 for the hardwire adaptor to avoid using the cigarette lighter adaptor. I'll take some photos and post if you are interested.

I've been hammering Blitzsafe about the XMDirect solution for the 07's on with MOST. Unfortunately they've not been very forthcoming with when and if they're going to have a solution. I've since sold my XM Direct unit to MINI Nurse and she's using it in her convertible.

For now I'm using an Express R - it matches my Piano Black dash.

Yea, I had planned an xm direct solution as well, but now I have an XM Roady installed. Right now I'm using a portable anntena with the cable snaked and totally hidden and the lighter power adapter. I may opt for a more permanent power hookup and tie into the factory anntena, but had left those alone in hopes of using xm direct if/when available.

I'm considering and aux integration solution from DICE, which would allow charging of my ipod, and an extra aux port for the xm roady. And just let that be my permanent solution.

I'd be interested in those photos - I may go this route myself. Thanks!

I'll take some pictures of my install tomorrow. Mounted my XM unit on the center stack, tied to the power lead used for my V1, and routed the ant to the rear sunroof.
