Interior/Exterior Billet Aluminum pedals....
My wife is paranoid about the idea of me getting a set, because one of her friends's dad's foot slipped of a metal break pedal and he rear ended a car. She's majorly concerned about how silpperly the pedals might get during the winter months. Soooo.. how slipperly do they get when you have wet shoes? And has anyone had a set during winter? How were they?

I have a set of CNC machined pedals made by another MINI owner. They have a serated type of surface and are very grippy. They can be a little slippery with wet leather soled shoes but I have not had any psoblems yet even with leather dress shoes. With rubber sole shoes the are very secure and give great feel.

Man, those pedals from Moss Mini are BUTT UGLY! and technically dangerous, whover made them didn't know squat about driving.
If you want special aftermarket pedals there are plenty out there that are safe, give you a greater feel for the road than the stock pedals while allowing you to heel toe yourself around the planet.

Once again, I'm wondering about the expierence of someone who HAS them. And sorry, I like the 'S' pedals much better than the boy-racer, err, ricer 'R' type pedals....

Hey Rocketboy,
I was trying to buy my pedals from Moss too. In the same boat as you, I'm sure they're grippy if they say they are. In rain, the stock pedals are sooooo slippery.
Hank - what's so butt-ugly about the Moss pedals?

I just bought the MINI upgrade set today (dead pedal, clutch, brake and gas assembly) Same as the current MCS setup - my clutch rubber was shredded anyhow. Got it for $105 from the dealer, looks nice and is grippy. I didn't want to go the bolt-on or screw on route.
I guess I find the design way too busy, not focused enough on performance. I think special pedals should be more of a performance option, these just sem to be an appearence option. Perhaps I am just a bit too fusy here, but that's what I think of when I look at those puppies.
I'd recommend the pedals that come with the MCS now. They have that billet look, but rubber inserts so you don't slip. If you don't have racing shoes on or are driving in the 24 Hours of Lemans (go bentley), why would you need a set of billet pedals?
I replaced my MC rubber pedals with the MCS pedals. My feet were slipping off the rubber pedals but I have had no problems with the new ones. Install was fairly easy-no drilling new holes-the gas pedal was a little tricky however Found some good advice here on MCO regard install. You can order the full set from your MINI dealer for about $110 & it includes the dead pedal

Jivanivan I really haven't seen any pedals that I like, the boy racer type are way too over the top for me as well.
But the 'S' pedals that Kohu'ulaMini are pretty darn nice, I might have to order a pair for myself!

KohulaMINI, on the Euro parcel shelf, is that little insert, square looking thing the cut-out for the driving lights switch? I was tentative about getting the parcel shelf because I wasn't sure if there was room to install the switch, but it looks like that piece is made for it. Thanks

That rectangular thing is the "blank/block-out" peice for any optional switch to your heart's desire. Some have used it for the rally/driving lights switch.
I don't have additional lights but have plans for that "blank" in the future
