I have some registration forms for this show. It will be held at the Battleship North Carolina. All Bristish cars and other makes as well welcomed. Last year we had a good turn out for the show by our Club. The site is awesome and great for photo's. If you never toured the battleship it is great. I might be willing to go down Friday and spend the night and join the festivities at the Fox & Hound in Mayfaire Town Center on military cutoff road at 6:30 with heavey canapes and cash bar. Registration between 9-11:30 voting ends at 1PM and awards at 2:30. Special concert by the Riverside Eight Wilmington's own Jazz Octet west coast swing and all time favorites featuring local vocalist Laura McFayden 1:00 - 2:30. First 100 pre registrants will receive a dash plaque and a surprise. Door prizes, 50/50 cash drawing. Vendors Food & Drinks for sale. Saturday November 3rd (rain date Sunday November 4th. All proceeds to be donated to the Battleship Preservation fund. I know alot of Mini's are planning on the fall Dragon run that weekend and it is not a club sanctioned event. The Fall Dragon is not a club sanctioned event. We all know the last thing I would want to do is conflict the club with two events, but it was the only option for this one. Everyone wanted to do a Fall Dragon run, and that was the best weekend to do it. That took into consideration leaf-looker traffic, Dragon events, and weather. So, either event you can't go wrong. I, personally, think the Wilmington thing is pretty cool, and look forward to going next year! Wilmington's a beautiful city!

 

Luke, I would love to go to the show with you guys...we should be back in Cherry Point by then, so it would only be a 1 1/2 hour drive from there, where the dragon would be closer to 8 hours. If I'm still in charlotte, then I will probably just follow you there, if that's ok.

Anna great. If you are already in Cherry Point we will meet you there., if still in Clt we can ride down together. I think Doc is going (schedule permitting). It really is a good car show and great place for pics. You can download registration or I have some, its $20 bucks to enter. Need at least 5 cars in each class for Throphy. Last year had about 10 mini's. Luke

 

Luke, that sounds like a plan. If you will have the registration forms with you at the Auto Fair, I'll just get one then, if that's ok. I would love to have some pics of my MINI next to the battleship, that would be so cool!

 

I keep looking for MINIs here in Wilmington and I don't see very many :( so I speak for both Tüls and I that we would love to go!!! This makes me excited. I'll do my best to register us soon. :D yay

When is everyone planning on rolling in? I see registration is at 9-11:30 so should we arrive a little early? And should we do a pre breakfast get together for the meet-up? just thoughts...

Unfortunately (?), I'll be at the Dragon, so I won't see your cars. Can't wait to see Tuls "plumbing" in person! Oh, and your car and you guys too... ;-)

That's a great location... I was out there last week while on vacation. If you think the MINI looks small now, wait until you get the picture next to the boat.

Scavenger, sounds great. Everybody please try to sign up by he cut off date. We need 5 Mini"s pre-registered to be eligible for throphies or they put you in with another class. Scavenger do you belong to any Virginia club or THM? Hope you make it looking forward to meeting you.

we have not been able to make it to MiTM yet... so.. I don't think it was there... LOL.. we have however done MTTS and ofcourse the Dragon, AMVIV... etc...

Hey Luke, are you guys going down on Friday night? I think that we are going to go down on Friday and spend the night, then come home after the show is over on Saturday. Do you know of any hotels that are close to the show site?

 

OK, so, I'm planning to arrive late Thu./early Fri. Is anyone thinking of having a wash/detail party? My MINI is filthy! There's a pretty nice carwash on College Rd. but I don't remember if it's touchless or not. I'd really like to wax too if possible.
