2005 HOC Doors?!

Hi Folks:

Second week of mini-ownership and I'm enjoying OBy (Orange Bullet) tremendously. I have a couple of nigglies, notably I need to get the door to unlock when I turn off the ignition.

The BIGGEST PITA by far is that my doors do not open easily from the inside and this seems to be getting worse. I have to pull the inside handle multiple times and then give the door a big push with my shoulder to get it to open. The outside handles work fine, so I find this perplexing. It almost feels like the indoor handles are cable actuated and the cable needs tightening? Don't know if this makes sense, or I'm just not doing something right. But when getting out of a car is something you have to think about, something is not right.

My closest mini dealer is almost two hours away, so while I'm still under warranty, I'd prefer not making a trip just yet. Is there any easy "fix" for this issue?

Thanks,
Lee

I had this problem. I wish I could tell you how to fix it. I took it in, the dealer fixed it under warranty and it hasn't been a problem since. I don't know what they did to fix it.

It was an easy fix for my dealer. Sadly I wasn't there to see what they did to fix it.
