OMG the excitement is unbelievable!!!
My MA just called, my baby is in Halifax, Nova Scotia...

Now that is quite a distance, but it is on Canadian Soil! Will head to a train yard and get chugga chugga choo chooed all the way to me here in Alberta!

I am so excited......
It brings a tear to my eyes!

Now being that I do not know the whole process it has taken, I can tell you what I do know.
I ordered it on June 30th, and it arrived today in Halifax (aug 8)!!!
Ohhh and you will be sure to know when it arrives...VACATION DAYS ARE WAITING FOR IT!!!

My car is probably on the same train. I was told on Saturday by my MA that my car is now in Halifax.

Now for the 2 week wait while it rides the rails, then another few days for dealer prep, PDI, etc.

Would love to get the break in period finished before it gets too cold, need to enjoy my new ride!

I also plan to get out before it is too cold, break it in, and get the perma grin started!!!

Ikshar, this is great. I have seen some excited posts, I really enjoyed yours.

I hope you get your MINI soon. Let us see the pictures when you take delivery. It is to bad they don't have the same tracking for you in CA.

I agree, it seems that you Americans can track ur car more accurately then us Cannucks.. but then we could buy EB Coopers, where you couldn't.

I didn't have to track mine, bought it out of the showroom, had everything I wanted and could afford at the time.

Another canuck chiming in... I'm told mine is on that boat too and en route now to Ottawa. Shorter train ride than to Edmonton or Vancouver so let's see when we get our cars! Mine is a classic with premium pack in PW. The miata is keeping me good company while I wait but still I am jonesing as delivery gets closer!

I drive by the auto port in Halifax on the way to Golf and last weekend the had at least 40 Mini's lined up, the things you see with no camera on hand lol.

I AM SO EXCITED!!! Each passing day I am trying to find things to pre-occupy me, and needless to say Work is just not cutting it!! LOL

I have an appt booked for the 3M clear bra, I have ordered the mudflaps, I am checking into winter tires and rims.... I guess all I need now is the car! lol

 

Hahaha, I share the same excitment...luckily I'm far away from home. Or else I'm sure I'll be in the dealership everyday waiting for the car to come.

I already have wheels + coilovers waiting.

Just wanting to find out some detail from fellow Canadians. Were you able to get a reduction from the list price? If you did how much?

I am just curious and might take this information back to my MA since I am still awaiting delivery.

My dealer told me there is no chance at reduction and that everyone has to pay MSRP.

So I guess I am not alone

I got a $350 deal off of MSRP, but I have also worked at dealerships before, so I knew a few tricks. But either was $350 doesnt really change anything when you look at the big picture.

 

News update from my dealer this morning... our trainhobolicious minis have made it as far as Montreal. If correct, that's a stone's throw from Ottawa... I might see my car this coming week after all!
