Anyway, we're both pumped about it... too bad we wont get her until the end of September

Nice set of specifications, post some pictures after you get it. I love my MCSa, I think you both will find it fun. Hope your wife lets you drive her car, I see a second MINI in your future, they are great little cars.

 

Thanks! I'm currently driving a VW MKV GTI so I have my small pocket rocket too . That said, dont worry... I'll likely put more miles on the MINI than she will.

Thanks guys! Quick question, when do you find out what production week it will be in? Also, when reading mini2.com I saw some stuff about some new fuel saving stuff coming for 08MY and/or earlier cars... is there any truth to that?

My MA said that she would email me my production #, and from there, you can track your vehicle.

Doh! I knew I forgot to add an option... we ordered that as well. I didn't have my options sheet with me when I wrote this post so it was all from my short memory .

You should check with your dealer, I have heard the 08 models may have some of the engine kill functions, not sure if any 07 USA MINIs would have any of the options.

The options did not sound good to me, but I had heard they are optional, you can turn them off, thinks like engine kill function, that sounds lame to me, unless I had an hybrid.

I also ordered a Mini Cooper S a few days ago,

Lightning Blue with black bonnet stripes, roof, mirrors

Sports package + MFSW only (I don't care for the sunroof and dont trust a lot of the "features")

Also I don't feel comfortable paying 500 dollars for an ipod connection

Anyway, on the Mini site the status of my order is "Ordered" .. still waiting to be scheduled for production. Anyway know how long this usually takes? I'm so impatient!
